On January 1, 2011 or 1/1/11 The Viraha Utsava of Srila Gurudeva was held in Navadwipa Dham at the Keshavji Gaudiya Matha. It was attended by thousands of people from all over Bengal and the world. Everyone that came first filed past the Samadhi of Srila Gurudeva offering their respects and receiving a blessing. Then they went into the huge Kirtan hall where they sat and listened to over 50 sannyasis from all of the different Gaudiya Matha’s Glorify Srila Gurudeva. The various sannyasis glorified his extensive worldwide preaching, his translation and publication of so many wonderful Vaishnava literatures, and his exemplary behavior in his dealings with all Vaishnava’s.
Before the glorifications there was an aratik on the stage in the Kirtan hall for Srila Gurudeva with all the leading sannyasis offering the articles to His Divine Grace. After the glorifications there was another aratika ceremony at the Samadhi where over 100 different preparations had been offered. At the conclusion of the ceremony the more than 3000 people who attended sat everywhere and took a sumptuous feast that was like pure nectar.
The program ended with loud shouts of OM NITYA LILA PRAVISTHA SRILA ASOTTARA SATA SRI SRIMAD BHAKTIVEDANTA NARAYAN GOSWAMI MAHARAJA KI JAYA!!!!!!!!!!!!
